Essay Writer and Proofreader All Rolled Into One - Getting Paid For Writing

The one thing a writer does to get paid for their short essays is to proofread. It is the main difference between a professional and an amateur that doesn\’t get paid. Look at the example below to understand this difference.

A typical sentence that was written “raw”

The blue sky made there eyes sparkle like shining diamonds under the sky.

Sure, you communicated an idea there, a pretty one. But there is a grammar mistake and it is slightly clumsy. When you proofread your short essays, particularly if you want to get paid, you will find one or two of these in every article you write. The reason why is in the process. You see, as a writer who gets paid, you work against the clock, so speed is one of the most important elements. To do your work fast, you have to sort of just spill out your thoughts onto the page, for the correct amount of words, then spend a few minutes fixing it up to make it sell-able.

So you read the article after it is finished to the correct amount of words, then you fix these types of sentences up “on the fly” For example

Their (!not there) eyes shone like diamonds under the atmospheric blue of the eternal sky.

I\’m so poetic :) But realistically, these simple adjustments make a huge difference to your bank balance and so it is crucial to proofread your essays and articles. Many people shy away from proofreading their work because they tend to cringe at their work. If this is you, you must change to get paid. The proofreading step is crucial and also makes you become a better writer over time.

Is Your Website Too Dependent Upon Google For Traffic? Find Out Why You Don’t Really Need Google

O.K. so over 90% of webmasters admit that 50%-70% of their traffic comes from search engines alone (of which most is from Google). To me that is scary considering that the search engine algorithms change every single day.

You have got to find a way to generate traffic without the help of the search engines in order to protect your livelihood. It is the reality of Internet Marketing that tomorrow you could fall out of favor with the engines/Google and your revenue could come to a screeching halt overnight. It’s happened to many people over the years and chances are it will continue to happen as the internet continually evolves. So, protect yourself now.

Many webmasters believe that backlinks will bring them better rankings in the SE (search engines) and in turn result in more traffic. Which in the short term may be true. BUT in reality backlinks will actually help prevent you from being totally dependent upon the SE/Google.

Links coming into your site equals traffic coming into your site with or without Google. People follow links from other locations on the web not just from the search engines.

Article syndication/distribution is one important strategy to achieving independence from the search engines. Suppose you wrote 100 articles and they were syndicated throughout the web and were published on various newsletters and websites. This could potentially equal THOUSANDS of backlinks to your website that would bring traffic regardless of what the search engines thought of your site.

Article distribution builds traffic and creates a snowball effect, of which you wouldn’t be able to stop even if you wanted to.

I’m not saying to totally neglect SEO for search engine purposes, just don’t put all of your eggs into one basket. Create a traffic generating model that will stand the test of time and one that is immune to the ever changing search engine criteria.

Article Marketing is Great, But Avoid This Common Mistake

Posting articles on to web sites is one of the latest methods that web site owners and search engine optimisation practitioners use to get more and better quality traffic. Articles allow you to get multiple links with a lost less effort and better results than link exchanges and other more traditional methods.

The problem is if you submit exactly the same article to multiple sites, Google, Yahoo and some other search engines will ignore a lot of the articles due to a filter often called the duplicate content penalty. Nobody really knows how this filter works or at what level an article is rejected. Here’s some techniques to overcome this penalty.

Mix and match the article elements

Your typical article directory article consists of a title, a summary, a body, an author/resource box and article keywords. The theory is if you have multiple versions of each element and combine those elements differently each time you post your article, there is less chance the search engines will see the article as a duplicate and give the article it’s rightful place in the main index.

Let us say you have four different versions of each of the four major elements (assuming the keywords stay pretty much the same), that means for a little extra effort you can have 4 x 4 x 4 x 4 = 256 versions of basically the same article reducing the chances of the articles being penalized.

Article Summary

In forum posts discussing the duplicate content penalty a consistent theme is that the article summary, or snippet as it is often called, is examined very closely by the search engines for existing duplicates. As with the title, it is useful to have numerous and very different versions of that article summary.

Article Body

The best tip with the article body is to structure the text into blocks that can be rearranged at will and still make sense. The filter will not be able to identify duplicate content as easily as exact copies. This approach also makes writing the article far easier than trying to create a 500 word block of text.

Another tip when dealing with the body copy is to replace words and phrases with meaningful, but different equivalents. For example, in writing this article I can substitute the term SEO practitioner, for search engine marketer, webmaster, web site owner, online marketer or even Google guru. The article still makes sense, but it is textually different to other versions. In other words the article still has the same tone and meaning but has a large proportion of different words.

Article Titles

The article title is very important from a reader point of view as well as a duplicate penalty point of view. Many article directories use the title of the article as the basis for creating the url to that articles page. By varying the article title there is less chance of the search engines believing they have already indexed that page.

Article resource box

As most SEO practitioners realize, the resource box is a very important element, if not the most important element, of the article. It is in the resource box that article authors get the opportunity to link to the most appropriate pages in their web site. As with the other elements it can be beneficial to change the text in this section so as to avoid the duplicate content penalty. Just by rearranging the order of links and anchor text can produce excellent results.

In Summary

Article marketing is a popular technique of promoting your web site, getting links and building online credibility. The trouble is if you submit exactly the same article to multiple article directories, you run the risk of Google ignoring your article and those all important links due to the duplicate content penalty. By following the steps above you will reduce the risk and generate more traffic and better rankings for less work. For other articles in this series, visit Search Tempo dot com.

Make Money and Generate Traffic With Your Articles

People write articles for different reasons. Some people write to see their name in print, others try to generate traffic to their blog or website, and some write articles to generate income. I write for traffic and income. And, I must admit, it has worked out quite well on both fronts.

Before I started writing articles, the traffic to my sites was growing quite slowly, as was my income. One month I made $3.67, the next month I made $5.21. Hardly enough to live on! I did some intensive research to develop a strategy to increase my income as well as traffic to my site and do it as cheaply as possible. I researched hundreds, maybe thousands, of articles on the subjects. I concluded that I could achieve both of my goals quite effectively by writing articles.

When I began marketing articles, I focused primarily on the income they could generate. The traffic was an added bonus. All of the ones I write are targeted to correspond to a product or service I’m promoting. This strategy has worked extremely well for me. In my first month using this method, I made $167. This represented a huge increase over prior months. Now, after applying this strategy for a little over six months, I make several thousand per month and it’s growing very nicely. Of course, to make this kind of money, you have to write a lot of articles. You will not achieve these results by writing 10 per month! You have to write and submit several ones each day.

With each of my articles, I carefully craft a resource box with either two or three links. Each resource box is targeted to the information contained there. Each link is closely related to the subject of that article. If a reader was interested, they will probably be interested in the related links that I provide in my resource box. If readers like my style of writing, the information I provide, and the design of mine, they will click on my links. If they do not like the article, they will most likely leave the article before finishing it. For that reason, those who are interested in the topic and like my style will click my link.

My website provides me with another advantage. I offer many free ebooks, pdf’s, and articles at my site. And, as a general rule, people like free stuff. I publicize this fact in my resource box and get plenty of traffic from my articles. If you want to generate additional traffic, offer people plenty of stuff for free.

Top 7 Things You Should Know About Article Marketing

In this article I would like to go through the top 7 things
that I learned are very important about article marketing. I
remember when I started doing this I was very skeptical as
my results were not that great. However, once I started
doing these things I started experiencing much better
results.

1) Choose a niche market. This is a highly focused market
that you will write articles for. Do not try and be all
things to everybody. The more focused your niche market the
greater your profits will be.

2) Send all your traffic to a squeeze page. The main reason
that you will do this is that if you do not capture your
visitor’s name and email address it will be unlikely that
you will ever get another visit from them to your website.
Also sales are usually made only after the seventh contact.

3) Write an attention grabbing headline. You see if your
headline does not interest the visitor it is unlikely that
they will read your article.

4) Your opening paragraph needs to catch the reader’s
interest. If they are not interested after reading the
first paragraph it is unlikely that they will read the rest
of your article.

5) Your concluding paragraph needs to make the reader take
action. If they do no take action it is unlikely that they
will visit your website.

6) Your bio needs to have your unique selling proposition.
This will be your 30 second elevator pitch that will make
your reader want to click on your website.

7) You need to track and test everything. For example if
people are not subscribing to your newsletter you need to
improve the copy on the squeeze page.

Are you really interested in driving massive traffic to your website?

Article Marketing Tips - How to Quickly Become Known as an Expert in your Field

Article marketing can cause you to become known as an expert in your field. When we need correct and trustworthy information most of us will turn to someone who is known as an expert in the field. You can be that expert.

There really is no better way to generate highly targeted leads than article marketing. This happens because as a byproduct of your article writing you will become known as an expert. People who want information on your niche will seek you out and read what you have to say.

Think about this. If you wanted to know how to repair your computer when it goes down would you talk to the guy next door or try to find someone who actually works in with computers? You would go to the person who works on computers of course.

The same is true when someone wants information in your niche. They are going to turn to the expert rather than the guy next door. You need to be that expert.

Once you have chosen your niche, take the time to research it thoroughly. Write interesting and informative articles on the subject and you will watch your credibility grow. In time you will become the expert that everyone wants to turn to when they need information.

One very good way to build your expertise and credibility is to visit message board and forums where your niche is being discussed. Read the topics being discussed and perhaps post a topic of your own to generate response. Make notes on what you have read and begin writing about it.

Use this tactic to answer the questions being asked and you will find that your credibility will soar and so will your subscriber rate.

Article Marketing Tips - How to Read the Mind of Your Readers for Huge Profits

Do you know how to determine what your readers want to know? You do not need a crystal ball to tell you. Discovering what your readers want to know is easier than you think.

It has been said that knowledge is power and that has never been truer. If you knew exactly what your readers want to know do you think you could turn that knowledge into profit? Of course you could. Knowing exactly what to write to gather high quality leads is kind of like winning the lottery.

One of the absolute best places to “read the mind” of your readers is to visit message boards and forums dedicated to your niche. Spend some time reading the various postings and getting to know exactly what questions are being asked and what topics are being discussed. Take notes and then write on that very topic or answer the question. You might even want to start a few topics to view the responses that you get.

Another very powerful way to learn the wants and desires of your readers is to use your list. These are the people who have the most potential to become paying customers and you should be catering to them.

One day, instead of sending out yet another sales letter, try sending out a message to your list asking what they need help with or would like to know about. Use the responses that you get to immediately begin writing your articles about.

By asking the members of your list what they need to know you are essentially saying “What would you like to buy?” The greatest thing about using your list like this is that they will tell you exactly what they want to spend their money on. If that is not earning potential then I do no know what is.

Use these two powerful tools to read the minds of your readers and you can watch your bank account grow.

Article Marketing Tips - How to Outsource for the Big Bucks

If you want to make the big bucks in article marketing you must start outsourcing as soon as you can afford it. Yep, that is the honest truth.

Article marketing is all about publishing hundreds or even thousands of articles to article directories to generate traffic to your website. The more you publish the more traffic will be generated.

To start making big money in article marketing you need to outsource just about everything. I know there are “gurus” that will tell you that you do not have to and they are correct. You do not have to, but if you want to make real money you should.

There are two things that you need to outsource.

1.) The Articles Themselves

Visit Elance or any of the other writing websites and post your jobs there. Determine how much you are willing to pay and put that in as your budget and let the bidding begin. I know another Internet Professional who is getting his articles written for $1 (yes one dollar) per article.

When using one of these sites you MUST tell the bidder that you select to write your articles that you REQUIRE an EXCLUSIVE LICENCE for the material that they write allowing your name and only your name to be associated with the material. This is crucial since most of the reputable article directories require that you have this license on file.

2.) Article Submission

There are a number of article submission services available on the internet. Some services charge based on the number of articles they submit for you and others a charge a membership fee. When choosing which service that you wish to use, take the time to do some research. Some services use mass submission software and others use manual submission. Stay with one that uses manual submission.

Some services will say that they submit to 500+ directories and you should ask for a list of these directories. I have found that while there may be in excess of 500 directories, only about 150 or so are legitimate and worth the time it takes to submit to them.

My suggestion would be to choose a service that will allow you to dictate which directories you would like your material submitted to.

Can you make money in article marketing without outsourcing your work? Yes you can but it will take time and you will have to be very much disciplined about how many articles you write per day and understand that you are not going to generate the traffic that it takes to make big money.

If you want a high profit article marketing business you are going to need to outsource. I understand that not everyone can start out doing this, but you need to as soon as you can. You now know what it takes to make large profits. Now it is time to write those articles and make those sales so you can afford to start outsourcing.

Article Marketing Tips - Article Writing Software - An Internet Professional’s Opinion

Should you use article writing software? I tried quite a few of these programs when I first started my article marketing career and would like to share what I discovered with you.

We all work hard for our money and before you lay out yours for an article writing program there are a few things that you need to know.

Types of Article Writing Software

I have found that no matter how many bells and whistles that the author or reseller says that their program has, it will fall into one of three categories.

1.) Outline Style

Some of the products give you text boxes in which you write the different parts of your article.

Title or Headline
Introduction Paragraph
First Paragraph
Second Paragraph
Third Paragraph
Conclusion

Once you have entered your text you click a “create article” button or something similar and out pops your article. You do know you could have done that in any text editor…right? All you have to do is set up a template with an article outline and use it to write your articles.

2.) Article Ripper

The second type of article writing software is the type I like to call an “article ripper”. This type of program does nothing but rip out parts of other articles based on keywords that you input.

Simply put in a main keyword and optionally some secondary keywords then hit the search button. The software then searches the net and compiles a list of sentences or phrases that contain the keywords.

Once it has done that you simply double click to add the sentences to different parts of your article. Click as many or as few as you like.

Finally you click to create your article. What you find is that you have an entire article that makes absolutely no sense. You must severely edit the article to have it make sense to a reader.

In the time that it takes to use this software and edit the output you could have written two articles of your own.

3.) Content Spinners

All that this type of article writing program does is take an article that is already written and rearrange it. This leaves you to edit the article to ensure that it makes sense to someone trying to read it.

In my experience I have found that article writing software can range in price from free to well over $100. You can create an outline on your own and use it as a template. Ripping parts of other articles and editing them is not fresh new content. Spinning articles is really nothing but writing the exact same article over again using a different format.

Save your money and use your brain. Make your content fresh, new, and something that you can be proud of.

No Serious Business Owner Should Pass On Article Marketing

Our introduction to this topic will include the basics, which will be followed by a more in depth look at this topic.

Clause Marketing is serious business. I mean, if you are serious about your business, you absolutely want to do it. Here’s why:

You are just receiving manually online. You have a new position that you rewarded good money to have built. Your web designer did a great job. You are arranged for the world to come to your entrance? What? Nothing happened?

You have people visiting your web position, but they don’t continue and they steadily don’t buy. Why? Could it be that they don’t know or believe you?

If you feel that you haven’t learned anything new thus far, there is a whole new realm of information in the rest of this article.

Text articles are a guaranteed result to both of these evils.

Here the apportion: You want to get in front of the people who are looking for you. This is the center of bearing. You also want to return some popularity on the internet if you want your web position to rank well with the hunt engines. And you want the people in your foil bazaar to think you are smart and worthwhile.

Yep, bearing through articles can do all of that and more. But you’d better know: It’s not hard, but it is a bit tricky. With a bit of guidance you can become a clause text Master in no time!

Here are 7 clothes you have got to do when symbol your articles:

1. Size your articles around keywords that your viewpoints use to look for you.

2. Use your keywords in the right spaces and in the right amounts. Too many uses of the same keyword express will get you penalized by the hunt engines.

3. Make it interesting. If you find it boring to write, your viewpoint will find it boring to read.

4. Not to long, not too curt, just right. Don’t keep them too long. Be interesting and handy but don’t whirr on and on and on?

5. Make steady your reserve box does what it’s assumed to do. If you write an article about golf and your reserve box meeting about your position on strength exercise, you will not get the reaction you are looking for.

6. Give your booklover an incentive to take you out. Bargain an open unique tell, small-course or some other opinion for clicking to your web position from your reserve box.

7. Permit them defective more! If you answer the crisis in the article your booklover will have no want to learn more. Thus, they won’t click on the relate that leads to your web position.

Clause bearing has an art to it, there is no misgiving. But it can be mastered hastily and certainly. Clause bearing done routinely, over time will get you in front of people you would never have reached otherwise.
