A History of Hypnosis

The history of hypnosis is centuries old and in various ways was a part of religious ceremonies in ancient cultures. There is evidence that hypnosis was used in Ancient Egypt and many different societies throughout history have used the beat of drums to induce a hypnotic trance in spiritual rituals. Even animals have been known to use the powers of hypnosis to bring their prey under their control. There is an interesting and global history of hypnosis that is evident down through the ages. Discovering it is indeed a fascinating journey.

What is the History of Hypnosis for Modern Usage?

Hypnosis has long been used for religious purposes and even for controlling farm animals such as chickens. For example, in Germany during the 1600s traveling shows drew crowds by hypnotizing animals. Furthermore, in this period of history hypnosis was known and used to keep chickens calm for farming and slaughtering purposes. The history of hypnosis reveals the popular story of hypnosis as a central element of much entertainment and religion. However, it has grown beyond these to being a significant tool for relaxation and the process of personal transformation.

You have probably heard the word ‘mesmerize’ but you may not know that is taken from the name of a famous doctor who practiced hypnotism. Dr Franz Anton Mesmer became famous during the late eighteenth century practicing what he termed magnetism. He used magnets on patients to create vibrations to assist in healing. His techniques included singing, playing harmonica, staring into patients’ eyes, asking patients to stare at his hands when placed in a pyramid shape and a number of other methods of inducing a hypnotic trance. He died in 1815, having never been able to convince his medical colleagues of the success of his practices. However, Dr Mesmer is probably the first modern hypnotist recorded in the history of hypnosis.

In 1845, Dr James Esdale from Scotland gained attention by performing operations in Calcutta by only using hypnosis. He successfully operated on approximately two thousand patients without causing pain to them. This was a first in the history of hypnosis according to modern records. Sigmund Freud was intrigued enough to study hypnosis as a part of his studies in psychology. After this, readings in the history of hypnosis indicate that hypnosis became aligned with psychology rather than medicine.

Milton H. Erickson was a psychiatrist who furthered the use of hypnosis in the treatment of patients with phobias and behavioral problems. He discovered a range of effective techniques for inducing trances that worked well with different patients. Erickson believed that through hypnosis one could directly influence the unconscious mind and thus induce change. He was the first notable individual in the history of hypnosis who radically moved hypnosis forward from entertainment to therapeutic usage.

You will find a great deal of debate and controversy in the history of hypnosis, but you will also discover amazing triumphs and fascinating testimonials. There is no doubt that modern hypnosis has developed and transformed from simple entertainment or religious altered states. It is used successfully as a therapy for personal change, relaxation, pain management and even healing.

Prophecy - Malak Encounters

Many people are having supernatural encounters with these Spirit Beings. I have also had visitations from these Beings. The Malaks are Angelic Beings that specialize in bringing life changing messages out of the heavenly realms into earth. They are Holy Angels dispatched from God for very specific purposes. They reveal the times and seasons of God. They enable us to experience the Ra ah of God. Ra ah is the revelation of God for a specific task, events or workings of God in specific seasons of His Kingdom. What will they reveal to you in your encounter with them? Here is what you can expect.

Let me say first, that God is very much interested in you. He wants to procure you into His Kingdom. He wants to enlist you so you can fulfil your God given destiny. However, He wants you for more than your service or labour. He is seeking after your heart so that He can have relationship with you. He wants to take you deep into His heart and pour out His love on you. Love that you can experience. Love that is tangible, rewarding, fulfilling, exquisite, delightful, spiritually intimate and intoxicating. God is love and we can experience the fullness of that Love as we place our trust in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Having laid that foundation early in this article, let me explain to you what the Malaks are up to now. I met a Pastor Joao in Mozambique during my recent two years of volunteer ministry there. His story and experiences capture the theme of this article.

As a young boy before the age of ten years of age Joao began to have encounters with Holy Angels (Malaks) that would visit him. He lived in rural Mozambique in a village in the bush, a two days walk from the border with Zimbabwe. He lived in the typical mud wall and thatched roofed house that is standard housing in this area of Africa. He had known and seen the demonic demonstrations of witch doctors. He knew about their evil powers and the torment many experienced because of the spiritual darkness. It was into this type of setting that the Malaks came. They were Holy Angels dispatched to him with messages from God. He did not have a Christian church in his village. Joao had no Bible, no radio, no television and no toys. He lived a very basic life. When the Malaks came they would always open his eyes to the supernatural realm. He saw heaven many times and even in his adult years had trouble verbalizing the splendour and glory of the heavenly scenes that were revealed to him. Sometimes the Malaks would simply come and explain God’s truth to him using parables and illustrations from his simple village life to reveal truth to him. On one occasion a Malak came and immediately took him on a spiritual excursion. It would turn out to be a site seeing journey that profoundly changed his life and destiny.

He was immediately taken by the Angel (Malak) into Heaven. There he saw the Throne and Presence of God. He saw the emerald rainbow that surrounds that throne. He saw the crystal sea before the Throne and the Angelic hosts along with the righteous Saints revelling in abandoned joy and worship. Both Angels and Saints moved in and out of the Awesome Presence of God releasing praise to Him who sits on the Throne. They were in return being saturated with The Presence of God Almighty in this Divine exchange. Joao wanted to stay there forever. The Angel (Malak) however said, ‘I have brought you here so you can see, and now I must complete my assignment with you by showing you the fullness of your choices made on earth. Your choice on earth will determine your eternal destiny.’

Immediately Joao was escorted by the Angel to an observation post where He gazed with dread and horror on the most frightening scene. He looked on a darkened scene filled with demonic spirits and the tormented multitudes who had refused God’s offer of salvation while they journeyed on earth. The Angel then lifted Joao out of this place and immediately he was back in his simple surroundings in the village. The Malak said to Joao, ‘ I have been sent by God to show you how your decisions made here on earth will determine your eternal destiny. If you choose Jesus God’s Son, you will have eternal joy in Heaven. If you reject God’s salvation you have sealed up your eternal destiny in torment. What will your decision be, Joao?’

It was obvious that Joao had chosen God’s pathways and is serving Him today in remote Mozambique.

Malaks are visiting people today. They are bringing messages of eternal purpose and importance. They bring direction, revelation and understanding. They bring the Ra ah(visions) of God. They will direct you into truth. That truth will bring freedom from darkness and bondage. Jesus Christ is the truth and He is also the way. This is what the Malaks are announcing. Jehovah Jireh one of the Ancient Names of God will certainly provide for you. He as God will ’see to it’ in your life. Isn’t it time for you to put your trust in Him?

For your information I have used Strong’s Concordance which is a thorough resource and reference book to research this Article.

Genesis 22:11 And the angel ( Strong’s Concordance : Angel = Malak = ‘ pronounced Mal awk’= dispatched messengers) of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.

Genesis 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh:(Strong’s Concordance :Jehovah Jireh = God shall see to it, as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. (Strong’s Concordance: Seen = Ra ah = pronounced ‘raw ah = to see as in visions or revelations.)

Food, Gambling, Television, Smoking, Dancing & Alcohol - Are Any of These a Sin?

I suspect this entry will raise some eyebrows, especially since I come from the Bible belt where my culture is conservative.

First, allow me to give the disclaimer: : I am not advocating nor giving you permission to do any of the items that I mention in this article. I cannot make choices for you, God doesn\’t even do that. I\’ll write and you make your own decisions based on the knowledge you have and your own personal convictions.

Let me also clarify this entry by letting you know that your culture and geological location has a great influence on your belief system. Your views on the following subjects depend greatly upon where you live; what Country, what State, the North, South, East or West, or even what city or part of a city you live in. Many people who go to church or call themselves Christians actually have a very radical and sometimes, extreme, belief system. In our culture in the south, many Christians are taught not to drink, smoke, gamble, or even to dance. There are also a few extra legalistic teachings floating around some churches, such as not wearing make-up, women must wear dresses, and in some places women aren\’t allowed to speak in public church services.

Now Let me ask you a few questions: Is it a sin to drink? Is it a sin to smoke? Is it a sin to gamble? Is it a sin to dance?

Let me add a couple of more questions to the above list: Is it a sin to watch tv? Is it a sin to eat?

Most of us would answer yes to at least one of the above questions.

Let me give you some simple anecdotes for gaging whether or not something is a sin:

-Do you control it, or does is control you?

-Do you do it in excess?

-What does the Bible actually say about it?

-Does it bother your conscience(or the Holy Spirit) when you do it?

-Have you prayed about it?

Now please do NOT get me wrong and tell me that I am advocating all or any of the above activities, I am not. I just want you to think about yourself, not others right now. Think about where you live and what you believe. Why do you believe the things you do? Is it in the Bible? Was it taught to you by your family, friends, or even your church?

Is it something you have always done? Perhaps motivated by tradition or from religious customs.

I want to submit to you that I say that I am not religious, yet I do religious activities every week. (The Bible doesn\’t give us a step by step program for activities in a church service for example) Religion is simply mans way of trying to get to God. It is not entirely wrong but God desires a relationship, he is not looking for a religious person proclaiming to be a Christian. There is a difference.

Let me ask you a few more questions:

Which is worse, Drinking a glass of wine once a week or over-eating compulsively?

Is gluttony any less of a sin than drunkenness?

If a person goes to a casino once a year and gambles is that worse than watching 3 hours of television daily?

Hey I am not endorsing anything, And I am not giving you permission to do anything, I just want you to think.

Is it wrong to go to a ball and dance, Is it wrong to dance in church?

Yes, there is a difference. Dancing has been distorted by the world. But I am not going there now. I can\’t dance anyways, I am a white male:) I just want you to think about the motivations behind your beliefs.

Here\’s one more question:

Is it worse to smoke or to be a fat, lazy inactive person?

I guess you could see my thoughts on the subject embedded in my question. I don\’t smoke, but I am not a slob either.

Most Christians say that it is wrong to Drink alcohol, smoke, gamble and dance. However they do not think that it is wrong to overeat or to watch the television all day long.

Let me say this about eating, Eating is a necessity. It is the only thing that we have mentioned that must be done. If you don\’t eat, you die.

That said, overeating could also be a vice, just as drinking, smoking, gambling , sex, & television can be a vice. If you do it in excess then it is probably controlling you. If it controls you, it is your God.

There is a word that I like very much; it is called “balance”. I do not like judgmental Christians. I agree with Jesus Christ on his disdain for the Religious pharisees.

Let me give you some other thoughts on balance:

-Jesus tells us not to cause anyone to stumble by our actions. So if someone sees me drinking then they could possibly think to themselves, It is ok. However, I my drink every once in a while and they may turn into an alcoholic. So I don\’t drink,; At least not in public.

- If we feel convicted because of our actions, we shouldn\’t do it. But why do we feel convicted because we drink and we do not feel convicted when we overeat or live to be entertained?

If smoking bothers your conscience or offends you but does not bother your neighbors conscience, Is it a sin for your neighbor to smoke?

Let me sum up for now because this is a sensitive subject, especially among Christian and we could be here for quite a while.I guess If I really just followed his admonition to Love God with all that is within me and to love others as myself, I wouldn\’t struggle so much with the above activities that could all be turned into a vice, and I most likely would not be very legalistic or judgmental towards others.

Please feel free to leave your comments on my blog at http://www.realnetsuccess.com and I will respond to them.

Have a Great Day!

Reduce Stress and Stay Young

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that emotional stress is perhaps the single greatest aging factor. We have all seen how quickly presidents age after four years (of fighting unnecessary wars, for example). This is because stress damages the body in many different ways.

One direct link between psychological stress and premature ageing has recently been identified by scientists.

The study involved 39 women aged 20 to 50 who had been experiencing extreme stress for years as a result of caring for a child with a chronic illness, and 19 other similar women whose children were healthy.

The researchers examined structures inside cells called telomeres. These are the caps at the ends of chromosomes that carry genes. Every time a cell divides, telomeres get shorter. In the natural aging process, the telomeres eventually get so short that the cell can no longer divide and dies.

As more and more cells die, the effects of aging can be noticed. These include skin wrinkles, weekend muscles, eyesight and hearing fade, organ failure, and diminished thinking abilities. The researchers also measured levels of an enzyme called telomerase, which helps rebuild them to stave off this process. Telomerase levels naturally decline with age.

The scientists discovered that chronic stress appears to accelerate this process. The longer a woman had been caring for a sick child and perceived her situation as stressful, the shorter her telomeres and the lower her levels of telomerase.

This study shows how interlinked our minds and bodies really are, and offers scientific proof that emotional stress is highly ageing. It further reveals how important stress busting practices such as meditation and yoga are for staying young.

Beating the Postpartum Weight Loss Blues - Part 1

The frustrations of weight loss after baby…where to begin? You want to exercise. Not likely you\’ll do it before your baby\’s 5 am feeding or after the 11 pm feeding. You need to eat healthier but don\’t have the time to cook nutritious meals. You\’re trying to diet but the scale is not budging.

On the bumpy road of losing weight after baby, there are lots of postpartum potholes. You\’ve been tempted more than once to just give up! But before you pull over and call it quits, consider these ideas for beating the weight loss blues:

1. Think of the people you are doing it for. You want to be healthy for yourself, your husband and your kids. Look at a photograph of your family. Really look at them. Ask yourself this question, “Are you giving them your very best?” Whenever you need extra motivation to eat healthy and exercise, look at that picture again. It will mean the world to the people you love most if you\’re healthy and full of energy.

2. Keep a journal. Write down why you want to lose your baby weight. Whenever you\’re discouraged, read these reasons aloud. You can also use your journal as a place to vent. Jot down all your frustrations. It will be a mini-catharsis that will make you feel a lot better.

3. Lean on your accountability partner. In the Lord of the Rings, Frodo would not have made it to Mordor without the help of Sam. You need someone to cheer you on and get you back on track whenever you\’re tempted to quit.

4. Take a break from obsessing over it. I remember one day a few months after having my baby, I felt so frustrated by having to count calories and record what I was eating. I was hungry and mad. I needed a break. So when my kids were napping, instead of doing laundry or email, I went to my room and read in bed. I hadn\’t done that in months. Just switching channels and doing something relaxing gave me the perspective I needed to continue.

Today\’s Action Step: Which of these four things will you do today to encourage yourself?

The Key Areas of Your Life

“I believe that being successful means having a balance
of success stories across the many areas of your life.
You can\’t be considered successful in your business life if
your home life is in shambles.”

–Zig Ziglar

Choose the key areas of your life and then ask yourself questions to help you decide what you want to achieve in each of these areas. Pretend that you\’re a life coach interviewing a client trying to help them define their ideal life. For example, the areas you choose and the questions you ask could be the following:

1. Finances: What would you like your net worth to be? When would you like to retire? How much money do you need to support your life goals? What investments would you like to make? Are you going to create multiple streams of income? If so, how? Are you going to create passive income? If so, how? Are you going to invest in stocks and/or bonds? Are you going to invest in real estate? Are you going to hire a financial planner?

2. Vocation/Career/Contribution: What do you want to do? What do you want to contribute? What would you like to be known for in your profession? What kind of impact would you like to have? What could you create? What contributions do you dream of making? What does your workday look like? Would you like to make the world a better place? If so, how? What is your ideal work environment? Would you like to be self-employed? Would you like to write a book? Would you like to start a business and then have others run it for you? Would you like to create an online business?

3. Learning/Personal Development: What are your life goals? What skills would you like to acquire? What courses or seminars would you like to attend? What books would you like to read? What are your thinking strategies? Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? Does your thinking style serve you well? Would you like to develop a different mindset? Do you need to learn how to master your emotions?

4. Intimate Relationship/Marriage/Children: What would you like your relationship with your partner to be like? What do you want your marriage to look like? Would you like to be a parent? If you\’re already a parent, what do you want your relationship with your children to be like?

5. Social/Interpersonal/Community: What kind of organizations would you like to be involved in? What qualities and values do you want your friends to have? What kind of activities would you like to participate in with your friends?

6. Home: What is your perfect home environment? Do you want to live in a house or in an apartment? Would you like to create a sanctuary for yourself? What would you like to see, hear, and smell when you walk into your home? What is the view from the window? How much space would make you comfortable? What kind of decor do you enjoy? What objects would you like to be surrounded by? How would you like to feel when you walk into your home? Would you like a session with a closet organizer? Would you like to have a garden? Do you want to have a swimming pool? Would you like to have a rose-covered gazebo in the backyard? Do you want to have a fireplace?

7. Spiritual: What would make you feel spiritually fulfilled? Would you like to start meditating? Would you like to take up yoga, tai chi, Qi Gong, or some other healing practice? Do you need to heal old wounds? Do you need to learn to forgive?

8. Fitness/Style/Beauty: What are your fitness goals? Are there any athletic goals you would like to achieve? What is your ideal weight? What clothes/shoes/accessories would you like to own?

9. Travel/Adventure/Fun: Where would you like to go? What activities relax you and bring you joy? What adventures would you like to have? What events would you like to attend?

10. Possessions: What would you like to own? What kind of car would you like to drive? Do you want to own a boat? Are there any electronic gadgets you would really like to have?

What else do you want? Can you describe it in more detail? Come up with more questions you could ask yourself to help you probe into what you really want in life. The brain runs on questions. If you ask the right questions, your mind will help you to design the life of your dreams.

The Secret To Getting A New Car - Use The Belief Formula

Several months after writing The Belief Formula, I was visiting with my parents and we were speaking about the power to create what we want with our thoughts or prayers. I was telling them that there are no limitations to what a person can create with their imagination; if a human can imagine a thing, it is a possibility. If a human continues to imagine a thing, it becomes a certainty.

I began to give examples of things we take for granted, but were thought up, imagined, and created by humans who believed in something that did not yet exist in the physical world. The airplane existed as a mere fantasy for a very long time before gaining enough mass to become a physical reality. Once people could see it, and therefore believe in the new technology, advances in aircraft technology literally skyrocketed - no pun intended. Belief is the attractive force which brings together the very real, physical mass of our new realities.

As we spoke, my niece, Jessica, came into the room and listened for a few minutes before asking, “So, you mean I could pray for a car and get it?”

I answered, “Sure; but it isn\’t likely to fall out of the sky and land in your driveway.”

Jessica, who I call “Jessie,” said, “You mean a real car? Not a toy or something like that…”

I said, “Yes, anything you want. \’Whatsoever you desire…\’ But there is a certain way to go about asking for things so you will be more likely to get what you want. If you do it right, you can not only get a car, but the exact car you want!”

Jessie asked, “How\’s that?”

At which point I explained to her how such things are created. I told her to be specific and imagine exactly the car she wanted; and to imagine herself already in the car. I told her to spend time telling herself she already had this car, and to imagine what it looked, smelled, and felt like to be sitting in the car. I also told her to spend time feeling how it felt in her heart, and how much fun it was, to have a new car and to have the freedom and good times that come with a new car while imagining being around the car with friends, or going fun places in her car.

Most important of all, however, is the positive attitude with which you think these things. Feeling the joy in your heart is what creates an attractor pattern which leads you to have ideas, thoughts, words, and actions which are designed to take you to the answer to your prayer, or bring your answer to you. Think about what you want and then feel the joy of that reality in your heart. Give thanks for what you ask - as if you have already received it. That is the secret.

Then, you must “listen” and pay attention to the things around you. At the time, Jessie was only fifteen years old and a new car wouldn\’t have done her any good at that moment. Having plenty of time before a car is really needed, it is reasonable that God, the Universe, or whatever you believe answers prayers, might start off by sending a job her way - perhaps allowing her to save enough money to get just what she wanted. Who knows? Just keep your attention on what you want, and keep your Spirits up!

There was a story I heard about an older lady who needed a new car. A church member heard of her need and approached her after church. The church member told the older woman that he had heard she needed a car; and he had one that he thought would work just fine for her. “Only problem,” he said, “is it needs a new part and it will cost $120.00.” The woman replied, “Oh, I don\’t have enough money for the repairs - much less the car.” To which the man responded, “You don\’t understand; I\’m going to give you the car. I just have to get this part fixed first and that\’s just how much it costs… I was intending on paying for the repair and giving you the car if you still need it.”

So, even though cars aren\’t likely to fall out of the sky, just because you pray for one, doesn\’t mean they can\’t or won\’t. “All things are possible to he who believes.” To truly grasp the power of that statement requires a wide-open mind; and I think she got it. I talked to her for a while more and then she said that she understood what to do and was going to start praying for a red Ford Mustang with a leather interior! I said, “Way to go! You dream your dream the way you want!” And that was it.

Within a week, Jessie was offered a job, but she didn\’t want this particular job. Within a few more weeks, she was offered another job which she tried, but found too boring; so that was it for the jobs. But she didn\’t stop thinking about the car.

At a family gathering, a month or so later, Jessie was talking to her cousins about what we had spoken about and how she was praying for a car. She said, “Uncle Pete said all I had to do is think about what kind of car I wanted, imagine myself in it, and believe that it\’s mine; and I\’ll get what I ask for.”

Unfortunately, she was met with little in the way of encouragement. One well-meaning adult told Jessie that there were lots of things that had to be done, and that she had to have a certain amount of money to pay for certain expenses she might not be thinking about. And, of course, there was the insurance and gas she wasn\’t thinking about having to pay for, etc…

When she told me what happened, I reminded her of the stories in the Bible where Jesus healed a person and told them to “go and see that no man knoweth…” I explained to Jessica that all this advice means is that some people will try to convince you that miracles are not possible just because they forgot how to “believe as a child.” Don\’t let someone else\’s “realism” kill your belief. I asked if she still thought she could just imagine herself in her new car; and she said, “Yes.” I said, “Then why not pretend? If you get to a point where you just have to have a car and you don\’t think your prayer has been answered, get a car if that\’s what you want to do; but in the meantime, there are lots of ways to get a car. Keep looking for opportunities in front of you; and expect your prayer to be answered.”

A few months later, just before Jessie\’s 17th birthday, my parents informed me that one of my sisters, and her husband, had decided to get a new vehicle and had also decided to give their old car to Jessie as a birthday present, rather than trade the car in! When I asked what kind of car it was, my dad told me it was a jeep. I said, “Well, I guess she must have eased up on the Red Mustang thing;” and my dad said, “Well, that\’s the interesting part…”

“Every day, as I took Jessie to school,” my dad continued, “we would pass this used car lot; and they had a jeep sitting out in front. Each morning as we passed that jeep, Jessie would say, \’That\’s my Jeep; that\’s my Jeep.\’ And now she has a Jeep!” She declared it; and now it is so.

The really neat thing was that, when they gave her the car, they had it checked out and fixed up so she would have a good, reliable car; and, they put a bow and ribbon on the car and parked it in front of the school where she comes out in the afternoon. It seems that cars fall out of the sky more often than I thought they did!

Jessie is off at college now - on the other side of the state - and that Jeep is serving her well on her way to, and from, home, classes, and wherever else her college experience takes her. And, best of all, it is a constant reminder that “All things are possible to she who believes!”

Wake Up!

I have a friend, Michael, who just woke up. Michael woke up in the New Year after “sleeping through” Christmas. His life had been on the line. It was questionable whether he would ever wake up. He woke up from a coma. As I visited him in the hospital, I saw that his coma had been a wake up call. Michael lies in his hospital bed recovering from the operation on a perforated intestine.

Just before this wake up call, he had become absorbed in work. He was being sucked into the busyness of his life. Details had grown out of proportion and had cluttered his life. Michael woke up. He has changed how he eats, turning down the treat that I brought for him. He has changed how he thinks. He is changing his activities and plans. As he recovers use of his body in the confines of the hospital, he has plenty of time to think. Now, he has more clarity. He is clear that he would like to return home to his family. He is clear about changes he is making. He is also clear about his gratitude.

Lance Armstrong and his cancer. Immacul?e Ilibagiza, the survivor of the Rwandan holocaust, who lived for three months in a bathroom with seven other women and is now spreading a message of love and compassion throughout the world. My friend and his coma. You and _____? Few people consciously choose a wake up call. Yet those who receive this call invariably are grateful. Grateful for the wake up. Grateful for life. Grateful for who they are. These people live their lives with more clarity, fullness and gratitude after the wake up call. What will your wake up call be?

It can take a wake up call for some people to get clear. Clarity leads to living the life you choose. First, you have to understand your choices. Some lose their choices and dreams as life happens. Some work very diligently to ferret out their choices. The excavation process is work, especially alone. Digging though all the clutter to find the essence of their dream lives. Searching for the dreams that can so easily get lost in the living of life, especially alone. It takes motivation to stay with the process of finding and then living dreams, especially alone. Are you going to wait for your wake up call? Or will you wake yourself up?

Coaching includes uncovering your choices and getting clarity. With clarity you understand where you would like to be, what you would like to be doing and with whom you would like to be doing it. Are you living the life you choose? Today? Or are you waiting for that life to happen? I set a vision for my life. I worked toward that vision. I now love living my vision! Are you living your vision? Many people wait for a challenging situation or a wake up call to do something differently. You? Will it take a wake up call? Your life is waiting.

Caron MacLane coaches people to fully embrace their lives without a wake up call by getting clarity on what they desire in life. First finding strengths, then living from passion. For more information, click on her website http://www.CoachCaron.com

Letting Go Of The Past At Last

Is there somewhere you desperately want to get to, but you do not know how to get there?
Letting go of the past is a great place to start.

It will happen for you when you decide to walk out of negativity and unforgiveness, and choose to drink from the wellness spring of Love, and Forgiveness, Positivity and Creativity.

Only you can make that choice. Only then can you begin let go and start to move forward.
When we hang on to our painful past memories, and remain in unforgiveness, we either become withdrawn and unsociable; or explosive, cranky, critical, judgmental, contaminating, reactive and mean towards others.

If this is where you are at this moment, You are mentally and emotionally messed up, confused and in so much bondage.

You are, tightly held in an emotional prison. Holding on, refusing to let go, unable to forgive, this behavior will steal your future. You are stuck in stagnant murky darkness.

This causes us to hang onto extra weight, hoard things that we do not need, wear a lot of black, become a loner, or become agoraphobic, and to fall into a deep depression and in pain.

All pain is a warning, telling us there is something wrong with us. Being grateful for that leads us to the solution. However if we are not listening to the warnings, problems will continue to magnify and grow.

As long as you stay in this dark place, you will not be able to sustain a new relationship, because you will continue to act upon all your conditioned responses to past events. Bringing them into new relationships is self-sabotage. It does not matter how many times you say you are going to bury the hatchet and start fresh, you will leave the axe handle sticking up so the you can drag it up again. This is unacceptable behavior. You are hurting an innocent person who has absolutely nothing to do with your past.

These behaviors are often a way of hiding from past hurtful events. Your inner self is crying out; trying to tell you that “Letting Go Is Healing” - but you are not listening.

The real you wants to get out of prison. The real you is calm, kind, peaceful and loving - but you have buried that person.

You must wake up and shake yourself off before it is too late. Take responsibility for your part in this; be accountable to yourself and to the invisible universal chief of this world, The one that we cannot see, where all the spiritual solutions are.

By choosing to live in this unforgiving state of mind, you have paralyzed yourself and put your life on hold. You are allowing yourself to accept a life sentence of misery and pain for what someone else has done to you.

Recognize it!

Admit it!

Choose to change this immediately!

Stop talking about the person, or persons, and what they did to you. Every time you repeat it, you are extending your sentence.

Always remember it is their problem and they will pay the consequences for their actions. They have created a karmic debt that has to be paid. Throw it up to the heavens. Begin letting go and God will take care of it for you.

The only reason you are still in this pain is that you are choosing to stay in it. By refusing to forgive, you are giving away your personal power. Make a decision NOW to take back your power. Do you want to be pitiful or power filled?

Affirm to yourself:
I am free.
I am free.
I am free.

Write on a piece of paper all the pain that was inflicted upon you and how much it hurt you. Pour it all out like a river. Get it all out of you and onto the paper. Then tear it all up into little pieces, throw it in the trashcan, put the lid on it and say aloud. “Good riddance to bad rubbish because that\’s all it is - rubbish.”

Forgiveness is for you! For your healing!

Forgiveness is not about the perpetrator, it is about you becoming free from your emotional issues, which are blocking you from becoming a happy, successful, prosperous individual.
You never have to see that person ever again if it is too painful for you. Do a 180-degree turn and never look back. Let it be gone forever. Throw it up to the heavens.

Do it for yourself. You are worth it. You are a V.I.P. You have value, Identity and a Purpose for your life. You have the seeds of greatness planted on the inside of you, waiting to be nurtured and watered. Forgive and let go now. Do it for you. Forgive from your Heart. Forgive with your Soul. The very act of forgiveness will heal you and make you complete again.

Say, ” I am now free to live my life as it is meant to be lived.” Say it with complete conviction. This is the way to wholeness and freedom. Think of forgiveness as a snowplow, re-opening the road, removing all the barriers and permitting your new positive, creative life to begin, NOW.

Look at your life through new eyes of Love, Acceptance, and Compassion.
Open wide your heart, Learn to forgive.
Learn the universal laws and live by them.
Be Positive Always. Be the Master over your Mind, your Emotions, and your Senses.
Thoughts create Reality, so please choose your thoughts wisely.
Learn how to Live the Impersonal Life.
Live always with Hope. Hope is likened to the sun. As we face it, hope casts the shadow of our burdens behind us!

Affirmation: ” All is well in my life right now.”

A wise man once said; “The mind may wander, but let not the senses wander with it. If the senses wander where the mind takes them, one is done for.” ( Mohandas Gandhi.)
“We are each of us Angels with only one wing and we can only fly by embracing one another.” (Luciano de Crescenzo.)

Are You Neglecting Your Emotional Needs?

You might feel fulfilled through work because of your many accomplishments. If you have dedicated yourself to work or are fostering a personal project, it is important to make time to focus on your emotional needs as well as interacting with those with whom you are the closest. You need to remember to create balance in your life by creating time in your schedule to connect with family and friends.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or out of sorts, maybe it is because you have neglected to spend full attention to connecting with your emotional needs. Consider how you can create time to have a balance between work, projects and personal relationships. Creating time to be with loved ones is easier than you might think. It is a matter of putting family and friends on your list of priorities.

Spending time each week with loved ones can be a wonderful counter balance to your interactions with colleagues, acquaintances and strangers. As you navigate the vicissitudes in life, it is important to have those closest to you give you the loving support and acknowledgment that you deserve. We come into contact with a myriad of different individuals, and all too often it can become easy to experience people as agenda items to be checked off a list. Your loved ones can be a wonderful reminder that every person you meet is a blessed soul. Spend time with loved ones each week, and you will gain a greater appreciation for people.

Decide what you most enjoy about each person, and then find a way of engaging with them as much as possible on that level. Doing what you are best at and drawing others into the activity with you is a powerful empowering and self-nourishing kind of activity. If your response to this advice is, \’But I\’m not good at anything,\’ go back to the question, What do I enjoy? How good you are is less important.
