Make Money Online

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

I’m sure you must have seen or heard about numerous ways to make money online. You must have come across several web programs promising huge amounts of money for little or no effort at all. These web programs will normally contain attractive pictures of big flashy cars and huge mansions and will claim that these can be yours if you sign up for their programs. They will make you dream that you can be a millionaire overnight and live your fantasies. However the truth of the matter is that most of these web programs are SCAM’s and they will rob you of your hard earned money.

However the good news is that there are still many opportunities available online which are legitimate. These opportunities will not make you a millionaire overnight but will generate a steady and substantial income flow. There are people who have quit their normal jobs and are now making a living through these opportunities.

When it comes to MAKE MONEY ONLINE trying to find the program that actually works is sometimes the hardest this to do. If you think you may have finally found the “right site” it may end up being a scam. The two essential things that you should look for before signing up for any of the programs available online are : -

The first thing you should look for when selecting an opportunity to make money online is to see if any kind of guarantee is given.Web sites that are not offering any guarantees for their make money online program is more than likely not confident enough in their program to offer this, so be very cautious.

Secondly before selecting any make money online companies, always look at who is their payment processor. The reason is that companies that do not use a reputable third party pay processor will nave no guidelines and agreement terms they will have to follow. You will then be at their mercy. Companies that use pay processors such as PayPal, Plimus, and 2CO as an example will have to follow a strict code of ethics as in the terms of agreement of these payment processors.

Basically to sum it up , the two keys to assure that you will not get scammed out of your money are choosing a good company that offers a guarantee, and is using a reputable third party pay processor such as PayPal.

Four Things To Do if Your Traffic Numbers Drop

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

When you’re trying to run an online business, you need to be aware of your traffic counts at all times. These are the counts of how many people are visiting your website on any given day. The more people you have visiting your site, the more likely it will be that your profits will also go up. So, it’s essential that you not only monitor these numbers, but also become concerned when you see a sudden drop in the traffic counts. Here are the four things you should do when you see your traffic numbers drop.

Check the Site

Before you begin to panic, you will want to try to pull up your own site to see if you can see it. If you can easily pull it up, there maybe nothing technically wrong with it. Check the content next to see if something was placed onto your site unintentionally or if anyone hacked your website and made it completely different from what you meant your site to look like. Take a few minutes to go over all of the main pages of your site and then see if you can get into your site as a customer would. If everything looks okay, you might have other problems you need to work on.

Call the Web Host

If you can’t access your site, but you can access other websites, the problem may lie in the services of your web host. If the server is down, you will not be able to access the site, causing your customers to not be able to access it as well. When a web host server goes down often, the traffic counts will begin to drop as the customers become more wary of whether your site will be available. Or, if there is a sudden drop in the numbers, you might simply need to get the server repaired or your information switched over to a backup server so that it can be broadcast to your customers. When your web host is crashing more often than it should, you need to start looking for a new web host.

Look Back Over Changes You’ve Made

When a sudden drop in your traffic occurs, you might want to stop to think about what changes you’ve made recently. Did you change your prices? Did you change your images? Any sort of changes might be the reason for your change in traffic count. When your customers are accustomed to certain features on your site or certain menus, it might take them a while to get used to them - or the drop in your counts might be a sign that they simply don’t like what you’ve done at all. To respond to this situation, you might want to change your site to its original format and see what happens to the traffic counts then.

Wait it Out

But sometimes, there is simply no rhyme or reason to the traffic counts dropping - they just do. And if you can, simply wait it out to see what happens over the course of the next week. If your site is up and running and it’s still working the way it should, you might simply be experiencing a temporary shift in the market, which will eventually turn around. When you’re still getting new site visitors and old customers, you might just need to wait it out until things get back to normal. Perhaps there’s a new site that just started and that is drawing attention to itself for the moment. Once customers realize that you are still the better business, they’ll be back.

Internet Marketing Boot Camp

Monday, November 12th, 2007

About a year ago I was very limited with my computer skills. My background was that of a truck driver. I got laid off and was looking for something to do to generate income. At 50 years old I had to find something to do. I heard the internet was an easy way to make a lot of money. I started searching for tools on the net that would teach me the skills I needed to make this easy money. There are hundreds of products to pick from. I bought several. For me most of what I spent money for was over my head.

Today the young people are the lucky ones because they are taught computer skills all through school. When I had a question I would ask our 17 year old and he generally had an answer. For me and lots of folks I know we had to basically start at the beginning to aquire some skills to generate money. For me I finally had to buy into a program that had real people who I could contact and ask my questions and get answers. I actually needed a teacher/mentor. I went to a live training in Harrisburg, PA. At this event I was able to get some hands on training and purchase some startup products that I was able to put to use and actually start to earn some money.

So my advice is to get yourself to a live event geared for startups. The smaller the class the better for you as you should get more direct contact. My total investment for the event and some products was about $1700. I feel it was money well spent. It took about 3 weeks for me to get up and running.

I don’t know if I will become a millionaire using the net but I do believe I will be able to generate a nice income stream.

How to Build a Good Customer Relationship with Web Internet Marketing

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

Earlier this year global information provider comScore Network revealed that in 2006 ecommerce revenue passed the 100 billion dollars mark. While this may not be a big deal in the offline world, this is a significant milestone for web internet marketing.

That doesn’t mean of course people are going to stop going to Macy’s or Wal-Mart. For many people there is something wonderfully familiar about going inside a store. Whether face to face customer service and support, actually being able to touch the products or just getting out of the house, the reality is ecommerce in many ways will never be able to compete with the traditional retail stores.

But you can create a level of trust and dependability which can rival anything offline by setting up an effective web site marketing strategy. Many apprehensions that people hold about doing business on the internet can be alleviated by the way you implement your web site marketing strategy. There are several things you can do.

1. Put Yourself in their Shoes.

Businesses have come and gone due to the insistence of many store owners that they know what’s best for the customer. Just put a product out there and people will automatically fall in line. Not. To get the most out your internet marketing plan, you need to constantly ask yourself “what do your customers want?” Then give it to them. Is it more variety of products or to have any and all of their concerns addressed before they decide to buy. You may not be able to answer every question or apprehension but putting forth the effort to try can only increase your customer conversion rate.

2. Grabbing their Attention the Right Way

How many times have you walked into a store and something did not sit well with you. Maybe it was the quality of the merchandise or the less than stellar customer support you received. Whatever the reason the old saying, “you never get a second chance to make a first impression” remains a significant part of doing business. This goes double for your web site page. If people don’t like your web site upon first viewing the easiest thing for them to do is click to another site.

If you are for instance selling videos a good web internet marketing you can do yourself and the customer a big favor by having images of your top selling movies with a critique by you or people who have seen these films. If possible go to one of the many file sharing sites and download movie clips onto your web site page. Make your site interactive and encourage people to leave comments on whatever movies they like or dislike. The point is to not only grab their attention and hold it but to let your website become familiar and comfortable to them. Once you do this, the buying a product stage gets easier to people.

3. Availiable for the Ready.

Got a problem at your local department store? Just ask the manager. That might not be conducive to internet web site marketing especially if you have a world wide clientele scattered over the different time zones. That’s why you should consider building a web site page or two which does nothing but answer questions the customer may have. If you can set up online customer support fine but a frequently asked question page should do the trick. Also throw in some useful tips on how they can get the most out of your product.

One thing you definitely want to emphasize in your customer relationship is the safety and security of purchasing a product. Display this prominently and back it up with testimonials from people who have bought from you in the past. If you are just starting make sure the security parameters of purchasing from you are clearly spelled out on your web site page and backed it up with a guarantee.

People are becoming more at ease with buying online but that does not mean you can take this for granted. Many of the concerns people have about shopping offline are magnified a thousand times over when it comes to buying on the internet. Your internet marketing plan should include a good web site design built in such away so that people grow to trust you. Do this first and the revenue will follow.

The One Thing You Need to Know to Be Successful

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

You can give the greatest talk, have the most people on a teleseminar, fill a room with prospects and if you don’t learn how to give a compelling call to action you will lose major bucks.

Whether it’s on a sales page on your web site or the resource box on your article submission, or a conversation at a networking group, YOU HAVE TO ASK!

Look at it as issuing an invitation

If the idea of selling turns you off, look at it as issuing an invitation. “I have a free marketing call coming up; may I e-mail you the information?” “I have an article that fits right in with what you are doing, may I e-mail it to you.”

Look what happens with phrases like that. You are in service, you are helpful and it is a form of permission marketing because they give you their e-mail and you can begin to establish a relationship with them.

Make it easy for them to take action

If you are writing your call to action on your web site make it as easy as possible. Outline each step. “Click here to receive your free…..” “Let’s get started! Click here to contact me for an appointment.”

If you are offering your call to action at a teleseminar give them the URL that contains the sales page that outlines easy steps to take. It’s also a great idea to offer a bonus or put time limit on a special offer. That stimulates immediate action.

If you are presenting your call to action in person, have helpers available at several points in the room to quickly assist people in purchasing or signing up.

Whatever your call to action, make it very easy to do.

If you can’t create a strong call to action, get help

What prompted this article was a story I read in a marketing book about a person who offered a free teleseminar, had several hundred people show up and because he didn’t know how to issue a call to action, he got a 5% sign up when he should have gotten 45%. So what if you can’t close a sale? You may not know how. You may not feel comfortable giving one. You can team up with someone who can. If you are giving a talk, have someone partner with you at the end to talk about the service or product or opportunity you are offering. They are also in a position to offer an endorsement, which will stimulate sales.

Practice till you can offer a great call to action yourself

Being able to give a good call to action may be as easy as a small shift on how you look at “closing a sale” by calling it an “invitation.” It may be about finding the right words by adopting some of the phrases others use that resonate with you. You only need to ask them to take a small step like “I’d like to keep in touch, would you consider opting-in for my free monthly e-magazine and a special bonus offer I have there for you?”

A call to action is like asking people you really like to come to your party because you want to get to know them better.

Make their first action step easy

Ease people into your sales cycle. People seldom buy the first time they come across a site. That’s why we have free offerings on our opt in pages. But the next step in your marketing funnel needs to be a $10-$20 item so they can “try you out” without investing very much. People will work their way up your marketing funnel, gradually purchasing higher prices items as you build your relationship with them. Remember, 80% of your sales come from 20% of your list. And your list builds one opt-in at a time. One call to action that gathers people in.

Ask for their e-mail

The greatest gift you can receive from a person is their e-mail address. Be sure you deserve it. Make your initial free offering as exciting, as relevant, as valuable as you know how. Then your prospect knows that’s the quality they can expect from you at every level.

If you don’t ask, the answer is always “no.”

Issue your call to action invitation in the tone and energy that fits with your business, but make it clearly a request for the prospect to take a very specific action. Go back over your web site. Review your sales pages. Clarify and strengthen your call to action and watch your numbers rise.

Providing a strong call to action is the key to your success.

How to Boost Your Online Credibility

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Many home businesses and small businesses have websites, either to promote the business or to sell products but overlook the fact that there are millions of people out there who are wary of websites and even slower to use their credit cards on one. If you have a work at home business it can be especially important to improve your credibility online. Here are a few tips to help you boost your online credibility.

- Professional Looking Design
The more professional looking the website, the more likely people are to trust it. Don’t use
counters, pop-ups, avoid the comic sans font and have a good menu structure. Ensure the site is
easy to use and read by avoiding garish backgrounds. Include an ‘about us’ page along with a privacy statement. Convince your customers how professional you are by including your business aims, how long you have been in the business assure them you will not abuse their email addresses. Include your contact details on a page of its own. Give customers your address and contact information from emails to phone and fax details.

- Show your products or services
Use good quality photos of your products or your service in action, so if you sell handmade signs
for example have some nice photos on your site to show them off. If you provide a service then
maybe show a before and after type shot. Think how you can convey how good your service is because a picture speaks a thousand words. Optimise the pics to load quickly on your website by keeping them small enough in file size.

- Website Content
Give your site visitors good content. There are a few reasons for this, firstly the more information you provide the more likely they are to trust you and revisit your website, hopefully becoming a repeat visitor and customer. Offer quality articles on your product and industry and you become an authority figure to your visitors. Another benefit is that the more good content you have the more the search engines will like your site, therefore the more visitors and potential customers arriving on your website for free.

If you have had good reviews or testimonials offered by previous customers use them as website
content. Many home businesses have happy customers write flattering emails complimenting the
business but fail to use these as a selling point.

- Terms of Business
Have a page with your money back guarantee and refunds or returns policy if applicable. This helps to convince the website user of your professionalism. If you sell products on your website it is also important to inform customers of the security measures guarding their personal details. This can be a comment on the encryption your system uses or an assurance of how personal information is stored.

- Spelling and Grammar
Ensure you use spell check to eliminate those errors in your content. The more professional the feel of the content, the more likely your visitors are to trust you.

Use these tips and you are well on your way to boosting credibility and increasing your sales.

Why You Must Start Your Own Internet Business Today

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Internet marketing is hot. Internet marketing is hip. Owning your internet marketing business is no longer an option. In this article we are going to look at why starting an internet business is something you just have to do.

1. Make more money. Most people get started because they need money for various reasons. Why you need more more money is probably the driving factor to even be reading this article.

2. Be your own boss. When you work at home on the internet you answer to no one except yourself. Even if you like your boss at your day job you will like yourself as a boss even better.

3. Create multiple streams of income. Many people who start an online business do it because they want to diversify their income. This is a great idea considering what is going on in the work place today. Having money coming in from more than just a paycheck is a smart thing to do.

4. The sky is the limit. Right now you know what your paycheck from your job is going to be. With a business on the internet you can make more money everyday than the day before. This is very addictive when it happens that way.

5. Set your own hours. Working at home for yourself allows you to work when you have time. Make no mistake, you do have to work. But you decide when you want to work based on your schedule each day.

6. Create security for your family. What happens if you are injured and can not go to work anymore? An internet business can become an ongoing income and you can teach your spouse how to work at it as well. This is the protection everyone should have.

7. It is fun. Working online at home is a great. This is really true if you start an internet business of your own based on an area you have an interest in. Many jobs today do not provide the fun they used to. You can get in a rut and just go to work everyday for the paycheck. Starting an internet business of your own around something that interests you will always be fun.

8. You can branch out once you learn the ropes. Many internet marketers started with one website and now have several websites they manage. This is like setting up your own business empire and you get to do it without ever leaving your front door.

I could write more reasons about why you must start an internet business of your own. These are some of my own favorites. Perhaps you should grab a piece of paper and start a list of your own.

Funded Proposals - The Key To Free Lead Generation

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Lead generation for your business can be an expensive proposition. Leads can easily cost 5-8 dollars per lead. Without a strategy to eliminate that cost, you will quickly be out of business. If you have a business that depends on duplication for your success, duplication will go out the window because very few people have that kind of money to invest long term in their business. The Funded Proposal can, if used properly, add a continuous stream of qualified prospects to your marketing funnel for pennies on the dollar.

As an example my first funded proposal yielded 100 leads and $ 457 dollars. My cost was $178 dollars. When it was all said and done, I generated 100 business leads and earned over 200 dollars profit.

What is a funded proposal? If you were to generate leads for your business by advertising alone, you would have the expense of advertising and the only way to recoup that expense would be through recruiting for your business and or selling your product. There can be a considerable lag time between the money you spend for your advertising and the income you generate by recruiting and selling your product.

A funded proposal will eliminate that lag time by providing a product to sell to your target market so that while you create the lead, you also create the income in real time to pay for that lead.

Keys to running a successful funded proposal:

1) You must have a product to sell
2) Your product must add value to your prospect
3) Your product must be easy to deliver to your prospect
4) You must have a system to run your proposal
5) Your product should already be tested in the market place so that you can plan your advertising campaign.
6) Your product must truly be your own. In other words, many products available for use in a funded proposal have affiliate or marketing links embedded in them by the creator of the product. What this means is that your prospect becomes their prospect. Not good.

The funded proposal also provides two key benefits to your lead generation efforts:

1) It sorts and sifts your lead. Many people fill out forms on the internet and the majority will never take action. A completed form simply demonstrates a level of interest on the part of your prospect, but there is no way to quantify or qualify that level of interest. A funded proposal allows you to do that. A person who purchases your product through your funded proposal has demonstrated that they are willing to invest in themselves to support their interest. That upgrades your prospect from curious to serious and should guide your follow up method.

2) It takes the pressure off of you when you follow up with your lead. Your follow up call is truly a courtesy call. The lead is free eliminating the pressure to make the sale just to cover your marketing costs. You can really follow up in a relaxed and easy way.

The funded proposal is a key simple, duplicable way to take the long term financial bite out of lead generation, qualify your prospects, and increase retention in your organization

Types Of Internet Marketing

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Introduction

There are numerous ways to successfully market goods and services on the Internet. There are just as many types of Internet Marketing as there are ways to market them in the brick and mortar world. Here we’ll outline four of the many types of Internet Marketing used today. These four are amongst the most tried and true methods that have long-term sustainability regardless of the changes how things are done on the Internet.

1. Search Engine Marketing:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a HUGE topic, which is constantly morphing and evolving. It will be covered in a future article. What we are talking about here is using pay-per-click (ppc) marketing via the Search Engines.

Most Search Engines (such as Google), allow you to write your own advertisement that the Search Engine will display at the same time as a Surfer’s search results are displayed. This occurs when the keyword the web-surfer is searching for, matches one of the keywords you have linked to your advertisement.

Basically, you will be paying the Search Engine for each time your advertisement is clicked on by a Surfer.

2. Affiliate Marketing:

In this method of marketing, the owners or providers of the goods or services, have a program whereby other marketers can sell or promote their products or services for them. They can either set-up themselves or use a third-party to administrator (such as Clickbank or Commission Junction).

The “Affiliate” can be paid a percentage of the sale or a flat fee. It is important to note that the percentages that are paid to affiliates very widely from program to program and product-to-product. Make sure to investigate all the details.

The beauty of Affiliate Marketing is that and affiliate can relatively easily, set up a website business without actually have to produce a product or service of their own. In addition, the owners or providers are happy to have others selling for them as well as building their client & contact list.

3. Email Marketing:

There have been some difficult times and re-adjustments for Email Marketing over the past few years. CAN SPAM laws have tightened things up dramatically to prohibit spamming. Generally speaking, this is a good thing for consumers; I don’t like to receive spam myself…so, I can’t imagine too many people do. This has gotten rid of a great deal of unscrupulous marketers that are just out to make a quick buck.

Legitimate marketers with valuable content, goods and services have just had to adjust and focus on permission-based email marketing. Opt-in lists are now required to avoid being penalized for sending out spam emails.

That being said, Email Marketing is still a very effective method of Internet Marketing because the opt-in lists are comprised of people who are most interested in the product or service being offered. Additionally, the consumers always are given the option to remove themselves from the opt-in list if they no longer want to receive the Email Marketer’s offers or information.

4. Article Marketing:

Owners of products or services can write articles about their product or service or related topics. The focus here is to use attention getting headlines and relevant keywords. They then will list their articles in article directories, article repositories or article banks (such as EzineArticle.com).

Then, their articles can be downloaded and reproduced by other website owners and Ezines publishers free of charge as long as the articles remain unaltered and the Resource Box is included in the reproduction.

The resource box should contain links back to the author’s website and perhaps a business telephone number so potential clients can contact them and order.

Conclusion

So there you have it: Four different types of Internet Marketing. Again, these four have stood the test of time. Investigate each of them - and other methods too - to find which you and your business are best suited. My suggestion would be to focus on one key method and work it until it is up and running on it’s own. Then you can add another method and another and another…until you have multiple pillars to support your business venture.
