Always have a harvesting skill. You never know when an opportunity to harvest something is going to come along. By being prepared and always bringing your equipment, you’ll be ready to take advantage of any opportunities the game presents you. The idea here isn’t the mix harvesting with leveling, as they’re usually two exclusive tasks, but to harvest as you go along. If you see a vein, then mine it. If you see a plant, then harvest it.

Eventually you’re going to have to decide if you’re going to keep or sell something, so why not make the choice now, instead of storing it and wasting space?
