Joel and Ethan Coen, mostly commonly referred to as “The Coen Brothers,” are directors and writers who collaborate on nearly every project together, and have an incredible following of fans that puts these directors well past the “cult” status. -Nicknamed “The Two Headed Director” because the story goes you can ask a question on set to one Coen, then to the other, and get the exact same answer
-Their first full length film “Blood Simple” is sometimes credited with helping to usher in the era of independent films
-John Turturro, long one of the Coens\’ favorite actors, directed his first film “Romance & Cigarettes” after getting produced by the Coen Brothers.
-Ethan Coen had a collection of short stories published, “Gates of Eden”
